Summer Respite Funds / Services for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Raising a grandchild? Or do you know someone who is? Beatitudes Center DOAR (a nonprofit, interfaith organization our congregation partners with) may pay for all or part of registration fees for activities or camps that are enriching for grandchildren while also providing a welcome “break” for grandparents. Additional services are also available at no charge, such as support groups, fun family outings, seminars and legal services. Showing Your Compassion Our partnership with Beatitudes Center DOAR, through its VICaP Faith in Action program, brings help and hope to elders who no longer can drive. The program pairs caring volunteers with homebound adults who need visiting, grocery shopping, home repairs, computer training, rides to doctor appointments, respite, help with paperwork, or friendly phone calls. Please put your smile and caring spirit into action and become part of this network of care. To get started, attend a volunteer orientation.
