CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Sunday school is offered for children to adults who are interested in learning about Christ. The children use One-Room Schoolhouse and the adults participate in a lively discussion group.

Sunday School for children and teens is held at 9:15 a.m.

Godly Play and the Nursery are offered year-round.

Children-Teens: Sunday, 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.

Godly Play - ages 3 years to 3rd grade - offered in the winter

^{What is Godly Play?

Shepherd of the Valley has a Children's Worship Service at 9:15 a.m. that is centered around
Godly Play. "Godly Play" allows
children ages 3 years to 3rd grade, to recreate Bible stories
through interactive play. They hear, see and feel
the stories using wooden story pieces and other
medium.

Godly Play's approach supports, challenges,
nourishes and helps guide a child's spiritual
quest. It is assumed that children have some
experience of the mystery of the presence of God
in their lives, but they lack the language, the
permission, and the understanding to express and
enjoy that in our culture. Godly Play offers them
a way to do that.

Children are also welcome to stay in the Adult Worship with
their parents.}

Sunday School for grades is held in Room 2
Sunday School for grades 4-6 is held in Room 3

Nursery: Sunday, 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for services and classes

Nursery: "The Cradle Roll" - ages 0-3 - offered year-round

The nursery is available for infants and toddlers from ages 0-3 years old.

The nursery attendants are CPR trained and certified.

Adult & Youth Classes: Sunday, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Class: all ages 5+-104⁺
